WebSickNotWeak was born in 2009 during a speech given by Michael Landsberg. When describing his mental illness, Landsberg confidently said, "Obviously I am sick, b ut I sure as hell am not weak. I am sick, not weak. Those three words stuck and in 2016, SickNotWeak formally launched as a not-for-profit organization and received charity status in 2024.
